Reflection on how I feel about Innovation

The image above captures my feelings about innovation because it resembles new way to interact with the world. The inherent reason for innovation to solve or alleviate a problem, whether this is actualized or not is a different matter. Innovation does this by finding new relationships between the problem and existing technology. And because technology is an evolving artifact, these relationships change over time. It gives us a different perspective to view a problem, and this perspective may be a more feasible approach to solving the problem. The image places what seems to be a smartphone over a map. This possibly expresses new techniques to travel the world, interact or experience communities and events that are physically far removed from each other. What could previously only be experienced through expensive means of transport can now be experienced, albeit differently, through a fraction of the cost.
